A Cellular Automaton Model for Crowd Movement and Egress Simulation
The movement of crowds is a field of research that attracts increasing interest. This is due to three major reasons: pattern formation and selforganization processes that occur in crowd dynamics, the advancement of simulation techniques and hardware that enable fast and realistic simulations, and finally the growing area of potential applications (planning of pedestrian facilities, crowd manage...
متن کاملPuppet Show: Intuitive Puppet Interfaces for Expressive Character Control
We argue that evolving game art like virtual performances and Machinima depend on better character control. That is why Puppet Show does not focus on new or optimized gameplay but aims to extend the expressive range of characters in an existing game world. Puppet Show is an interface plug-in for Epic’s Unreal Tournament 2004. Puppet Show uses an external Java program to feed visual input from a...
متن کاملPuppet Flow
We introduce Puppet Flow (PF), a layered model describing the optical flow of a person in a video sequence. We consider video frames composed by two layers: a foreground layer corresponding to a person, and background. We model the background as an affine flow field. The foreground layer, being a moving person, requires reasoning about the articulated nature of the human body. We thus represent...
متن کاملOptical Illusion Puppet Generator
We have designed a system that can automatically generate a real optical illusion puppet from any input individual frontal-view face photo. The basic function of the system is to capture the human face from the given photo and correctly transform it onto a fixed template. The final product is a 2-D layout that can be printed out for further assembling.
